New Cobalt stainless steel exhaust header for manual transmission 1.8 liter engine NB Mazda Miata. This exhaust header mounts to the cylinder head on the engine. Cobalt's exhaust header is made out of 304 stainless steel. The design of the header is a 4 into 2 then into 1 style. Primary tubes are 1 5/8" and the secondary tubes are 1 7/8". The collector diameter is 2 3/8". This exhaust header fits factory mid pipes or the Cobalt 2.5" mid pipe. This exhaust header is not CARB approved. Part number 910-645. Fits 1999-2005 with manual transmission only.
NOTE: 99-00 California cars will require two things:
1: You will need to move the O2 sensor location or the check engine light will come on. The RSpeed O2 Extension Kit includes a weld in O2 bung which should be placed behind the rear cat. The kit also includes two wire extensions to allow the original O2 sensor wiring to reach the new O2 sensor locations.
2: You will need to replace the original EGR tube with one from 2001-2005 Mazda Miata. The 99-00 EGR tube has male threads on the header side and the 01-05 EGR tube has female threads on the header side. This header is made to accept the female threads from the EGR tube (01-05). The 01-05 EGR tube can be purchased either USED or NEW from our company.
