Brace Rear Lower Control Arm Racing Beat Aftermarket New 1990-1991 NA and 1999-2005 NB Mazda Miata
New Racing Beat rear lower control arm brace for Early NA and NB Mazda Miata. Racing Beat's rear lower control arm brace is made to fit 1990 to 1991.5 and 1999 to 2005 Miata chassis with no modifications needed. This brace is designed to "box- in" the rear upper and lower control arm mounts while providing a complete "four-point" mounted chassis brace. This design offers additional chassis stiffening over a simple "two-point" brace. This brace is laser-cut from 14-gauge mild steel, machine-formed, MIG-Welded, and is powder-coated to virtually eliminate corrosion. Installation requires only basic hand tools. This brace can also be easily installed with aftermarket exhaust systems by simply unbolting the rear muffler section and passing the inlet tube through the opening in the brace. Part number 54009. Fits 1990-1991 and 1999-2005.
*See the following if intending to use this brace on a 1991.5-1997 Mazda Miata: In mid-1991 Mazda introduced a simple lateral brace at the rear of the subframe linking the rear lower control arm mounting points. In 1994, Mazda improved upon this design by extending this brace forward in the chassis, further connecting the forward lower control arms and the chassis. In order to install the Rear Lower Control Arm Brace on the 1991.5-97 chassis, these braces must be removed and the brace mounting flanges/tabs must be removed to provide the required clearance.
